Madina Hospital Director survives from an attempted assassin: (KN)

The director of the biggest and the only public hospital in Mogadishu, Dr. Mohamed Yusuf has today survived an attempted assassination after armed men opened fire on his car en route to the hospital from Afgoi. The doctor sustained no injuries or any harm, but one of the hospital’s staff sustained bullet injury, he was with the director at the time.
The gun men staged the attack early in the day at a place called KM 13 between Mogadishu and Afgoi.
Xisbul Islam forces went on manhunt to arrest the perpetrators who is believed to be hiding some where in the IDP’s settlements in the outskirts of the capital.
The motive remains to be unknown but the city is well-known for its brutal history whereby the killings of such important people for the society take place for absolutely nothing.
The hospital was the only one operating in the hospital during the freedom straggle clashes between Somalis and Ethiopia occupying troops, now there are several hundreds of people who are receiving medical treatment for their injuries sustained in the straggle.
The management of the hospital has declared that they will down tool for days in protest over the incident.
